Tips & Tricks On this page I share some hints and techniques I’ve learned while diving into this hobby. Many more will follow. Thin your paints: I use a wet palette to thin my paints. Multiple thin coats always look better than trying to apply full coverage in one pass. Base rims: I paint all my base rims black. I think it gives a clean, finished look — but of course this is personal preference. Use whatever fits your army’s theme!
